I found Denny and Mike through the internet. Simultaneously another dog walker whom I found at the same time and explained my issues to recommended Paws and Claws as well. I have one very anxious and aggressive dog,along with two “normal” dogs. Denny obliged with a private walk. It’s been two uneventful years. The dogs are thriving, my nervous dog can actually walk with other dogs now and is calmer and more relaxed.

They have loads of fun and I think Denny and Mike are crazy about animals and aren’t about the money, which is pretty special.

I was at a bit of a loose end with my cat Chas, as I unexpectedly had to go away for a few days. An overnight feeder is OK for one night, but it's not fair to keep cats company-less for much longer. I contacted Paws & Claws, and spoke to Denny. She was brilliant. She accommodated me within her already-busy schedule, and I felt as ease with her immediately. When I returned, Chas was a very happy, relaxed boy, and I wouldn't have known I'd had anyone in the house! I'd definitely call Denny again.

Denny has looked after our two cats whenever we've been away for about five years now and we can relax knowing that they're in safe hands. She's very flexible and reliable and clearly makes a fuss of the cats when she sees them - the update photos she sends through are always very welcome. We can't recommend her highly enough.

Denny has been a wonderful for our family and our dog Albert. Albert has been quite a challenge for us over the past couple of years. He is loving, but has shown signs of aggression towards other dogs. We got to a stage where we were pulling our hair out with him and were not sure what the future was going to be.

Denny always stood by our side, supported us and with all the stresses going on with him. She was a constant for us, and for Albi. She attended training sessions in her own time to help us tackle this behaviour and always updates us with behaviour, videos and snaps of our little chap out on his walks. She takes safety very seriously with Albert and knows how to handle him and his needs, with muzzling and training, and what’s lovely is that walks can be stressful with Albert but it’s clear he has so much fun! If we are out in the park sometimes he can sniff Denny out a mile away and will drag me over the park to give her slobbery kisses!! He is always over he moon to see her.

I truly believe that without her support and encouragement we could have given up on him. Her love for dogs, and her reminding us that Albert is a loving boy with some bad habits has kept me going. Albert is beginning to turn corners now with Denny’s help and we are beginning to have good days again. She is wonderful and I would not pick anyone else to look after Albert. She responsibly walks, Albi goes out with Molly who knows him well. She is so respectful of our home we never have to worry.

Dear Mike and Denny,

Just a quick note to thank you both so very much for your unbridled care and assistance towards me and Ronnie. You stepped in when I was unable to take Ronnie for his daily walk and he always went to you willingly. I have already recommended you to my other friends who are dog owners and wouldn't hesitate to suggest you again in the future for dog walking because of your attention to detail and the care you show. You clearly love what you do.

I have known Mike for nearly four years now, he has been looking after my cat Archie whenever I'm away on holiday or for weekends it's never too much trouble,  he is always reliable and even spends time playing with Archie when he goes round to give him some interaction if he has been alone all day. He loves animals and I would trust him to look after any pet of mine in the future.

My babies could not be in better hands. Denny and Mike are lovely people and so compassionate, you can tell they truly love animals, even the not so social ones. I have 3 Cats, all with different personalities. My Old girl who is 16 hates everyone except me. Go near her and you get a swipe. Thomas, my young boy of 4 is scared of new people and will run and hide. My old fellow Gus, who is 16, is like an old gentleman and the boss. He like anyone with food. Denny and Mike have so much patience with them that they will soon feel at ease.

A cat knows good people and you couldn’t ask for better than Denny and Mike when it comes to your furry kids. Would HIGHLY recommend.
